Daily Bulletin for February 28, 2020

Good morning Floodwood students and staff. Today is Friday, February 28th.

Congratulations to the Girls’ Basketball team on a great season.

High School Students - We are making a change in how your Polar Pride Paws work. When you receive a Polar Pride Paw, turn it into the office and each week we will draw a High School Student Pride Paw winner. The winner will get to choose a prize from the office - there are a variety of items from coupons for extra credit to jump in the front of the lunch line. Keep showing your Polar Pride!

Congratulations to the Staff bingo winners. Mr. Root, Ms. Bartsch, Mr. Bartsch, and Ms. Skripsky. You can pick up your prizes in the office.

Next week is Read Across America week and special activities are planned for each day. Check out the wall posters to see what's going on each day. Monday is pajama day in elementary and their read-a-thon in the gym during 3rd hour. HS students are welcome to help younger students read if your teacher brings you.

Did you know reading 20 minutes a day exposes you to 1.8 million words a year? Next week there is a reading challenge for High School students to read 20 minutes a day. A graph will be posted in the hall for your Class President to shade in the total number of minutes your class reads each day. The class with the highest number of minutes gets a Jack's Pizza Party. Happy Reading!

All band students going to the Timberwolves game need to get their permission slips and money into Mr. Root ASAP.

Attention seniors: The Dollars for Scholars phone-a-thon is Thursday, March 5th in the front office from 5:30-9:30pm.

Be a leader, not a follower. Donate blood to save lives. It takes less than an hour to make a life-saving difference-will you step up to the challenge. Contact Jordan Romanek or Ms. Rocco to make an appointment for Wednesday, March 18th.

The National Honor Society students wish to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of the Pennies for Patients program.  We will collect the coins and tally the results. We are all on the winning team in our efforts to find a cure!

Today’s lunch is Individual Pizza, romaine salad, carrots, fruit, and milk.

Monday’s breakfast is Apple Frudel, fruit cup, and juice.

Paws up to the students and staff caught roaring with pride: Thank you for setting a good example to students and staff.

Have a great day and make good choices!
