ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CAMPUS PORTAL & MESSENGER
A web-based reporting system giving Floodwood School parents secure access to school information about their child, bringing parents and students closer to their teachers and school. The Campus Portal incorporates the highest level of security. Parents/guardians can only see the information related to their household. Parents/guardians who share custody of a child can both view their child’s information, if they have that authority. Students may have a separate account to view their own information.

Here is where parents/guardians can view messages sent by the district. District Surveys will show up in parents/guardian’s in-box from time to time.
Household Information / Self Service –
Here is where parents/guardians can view their address and home phone. Requests for changes can be made here. The request will be forwarded to the proper school district staff member to process.
Family Members / Self Service –
Here is where parents/guardians can view who is all listed in the household, and contact information for the individual parents/guardians. Requests for changes can be made here. The request will be forwarded to the proper school district staff member to process.
Here is where parents/guardians can make online payments for sports, tech, & parking fees and can make lunch payments. Accepted payment methods are VISA, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or an echeck for a $1.25 convenience fee.
Food Service (Lunch Account) Information –
If you have any further questions about your lunch account, please contact Deb Torvick at email@example.com or 476-2285 ext. 70103. Payments can be made electronically under “Payments”. See Notification Settings under User Account for the option to set up automatic notifications when your child’s lunch balance is below a specified amount.
Contact Preferences –
Here is where all individual parents/guardians have the ability to manage how they prefer to receive messages. Currently the district is using “Emergency”, “General”, and “Priority” notifications. A text message is an option. Please make sure your email address is listed. See more information on the other side of this document regarding Messenger details.
To view information on your children:
Schedule (for grades 4-12) -
- Red Gradebook icon - click on class name for current assignments and scores.
Envelope icon - click on teacher name for email
Please note - Teachers are required to put their assignments in on a weekly basis, by Monday mornings. There may be an exception to this if there are assignments or projects that will take more than a week to complete and grade. If you have questions or concerns about your child's grades, please email or call the teacher directly. Grades K-3 will only report midquarter and quarter report cards, not daily grades.
If you have any further questions or need to call in an absence regarding your child’s attendance, please contact the Deb Torvick at 476-2285 ext. 70103, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. You may leave a message 24 hours a day. See Notification Settings under User Account for the option to set up automatic notifications when your child is marked absent or tardy.
Grades (for grades 4-12) -

Health Records –

This is where you will find report cards and transcripts.
The school district currently uses three types of messages: Emergency, High Priority, and General.
- Emergency –
This method will be used only when the need for contact is immediate, such as situations where school is cancelled midday or a situation where the students’ lives may be in danger. Parents do not have an option to opt out of receiving emergency messages as they go to all contact numbers on file automatically. This method will be used on a limited basis only.
- High Priority & General –
Parents do have the option of picking and choosing which phone numbers to get messages from in these categories. Each parent can chose their household phone, cell phone, work phone, and email. Messages about a time change in a sporting event, a survey, or a parent-teacher conference reminder are examples of High Priority or General Messages.
- Phone Recipient Confirmation –
The Messenger system will continue to call recipient phone numbers until the recipient confirms message receipt or until the maximum number of redials is met. To confirm delivery of a message, a recipient must press “0” at the end of a voice message to cancel additional attempts.
