Final night of Fall Parent Teacher Conferences and Scholastic Book Fair is tonight Thursday November 16 from 3:30-7pm. Elementary conference times have already been sent home. High School conferences will be held in the teachers classroom. Please stop in when you can between 3:30-7pm. The Book Fair will be open 4-7pm and is open to the public!
Attention SOPHOMORE & SENIOR families! Jostens was at school today to share information about class rings, graduation items and how to order. They do have an order deadline NEXT WEDNESDAY for special promotions, so please check your email for more information!

Great opportunity for 9-12th grade students!
Six Students from Floodwood attended the Youth in Action 29th Make A Difference annual conference at the DECC in Duluth Thursday. The mission of the annual Make a Difference Conference is to educate and inspire young people with the help of partners, to make a difference in their communities through leadership, advocacy, and service. The keynote speaker was Emily Ford, sharing her adventures as a winter backpacker and overcoming challenges that we all face. Student Presenters led break-out sessions included Sustainable Living: What You eat, and how You sleep, Benthic Macroinvertebrates (Aquatic Creepy Crawlies), a Room of Requirement, Invasive species in MN Lakes, Fears and Phobias and how to overcome them, Fashion Recycled, Reducing Consumer Waste and Zumba.
Students were treated to lunch and snacks and swag from supporting vendors.
Kids Holiday Card Party brought to you by the United Way.
On Thursday, TRIO Talent Search brought 10-12th grade students to St. Cloud to visit both St. Cloud Technical and Community College and St. Cloud State University. They toured the campuses, met the staff, and learned about the programs offered. It was a fun day with a great group!

Please complete the attached google form if your student (13 years of age or older) is riding the fan bus tomorrow, Saturday November 4. Students ages 13 and up can ride the bus unaccompanied for free. Any students 12 or younger would need an adult chaperone. Adults are welcome to sign up as well. The charge for adults will be $5.

Thursday, November 2nd a group of high school students were able to attend the Discover Healthcare Hands-on Event in Hibbing. They were able to explore careers from radiology to dental hygiene.
Please join us in the large gym Friday November 3rd at 2:30pm for a pep fest for our Lady Bears as we send them off to their championship game against Ely this Saturday. Also available will be a fan bus for those who would like to attend the game. Students are free, adults are $5. Call the school to sign up or email attendance@isd698.org. Deadline to sign up is Friday at 3pm.
