Important: If you or your student took the ACT at Floodwood earlier this spring, please read on:
Based on its continual evaluation of scores, ACT has informed us that it needs to reissue scores for students who took the ACT online during the school day this spring. If you are among those students, your current score will be removed from your MyACT account on Wednesday, May 13. When scores are available again (no later than June 2), your Composite score and section scores will remain the same OR go up slightly based on your individual performance. Your scores will NOT be lower than what was previously released. There is no action you need to take. ACT will post revised scores on MyACT and will be resending scores to your school. If you previously opted to send scores via ACT to a college, university, or scholarship-awarding organization, they, too, will be sent any updated scores.

Our 1st ever PreK-12 Career Day was a success! The elementary students dressed up in what they want to be when they grow up and paraded around the school. Thank you to Tattoo Artist Madeline Trelstad, Social Worker Kennedy Lewis, Lawyer Hannah Holmberg, Blandin HR Generalist Janea Moore, and MN Dot specialists Mark Fleischer and Aiden Lehti who talked with our 7-12 graders about their careers!

A reminder for Wednesday...Career Day and Big Rig Night!
Yearbooks will be released next week on thursday 5/21/26 for students to pick up during a designated hour, Ms. Richards will call them to her room to pick them up.
Extras will be fore sale as supplies last after yearbooks are distributed.

Floodwood students have had great opportunities to hear from professionals who use art daily in their careers throughout the year. In March we met Kathrine Gerzina, architect, and Emily Cich, interior designer from DSGW an architecture firm. This past week they then had the pleasure of seeing local artist McKayla Lahti in action painting the windows of some of our school entrance doors!
Shoutout to our students of the month for March and April 2026 - 5th grader, Zeke Skripsky, 9th grader, Alexis Miller, kindergartener, Brooklyn Kramer and 8th grader, Maizie Arro!
