April's Senior Spotlight Hailey Baazard, Owen Svoboda, Nakaiyah Nimene and Elliott Dahl!




Floodwood art students entered in art work in the Minnesota State High School League Region 7A Visual Arts Festival. Alexis Baazard earned an excellent for her painting. Hailey Baazard was awarded a Superior Rating Certificate and an MSHSL medal for her digital art work. Lila Melloch was awarded a Superior Rating Certificates and MSHSL Medals for her painting, mixed media painting, a graphite drawing and digital artwork.

Minnesota North College has two open houses coming up. This Thursday April 13th the Itasca's campus will be hosting an open house starting at 3:30pm. Hibbing's Campus will be hosting an open house on Thursday April 20th from 3:30pm-6:00pm.

Schmitt Music is having a clearance tour on band and orchestra in the Duluth Store on April 27th from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.

This Friday March 31st is Pajama Day for Elementary and Hat Day for High School. Bring $1 to wear pajamas or a hat for the day to benefit the Community Education Department and the Polar Bear Scoop insert.

Sixth through Eleventh grade students will be completing registration for the school year 2023-24 during parent teacher conferences April 11th and 13th from 3:30pm-7:00pm. A google form was sent to all 6th through 11th grade students to find out what classes interested them for next school year. Registration this year looks different from the past years as we want to ensure parents/guardians are part of the process. In order for your student to finalize registration, we need to meet with all parents/guardians. Please email Faith, fromanek@isd698.org, or Amanda, afjeld@isd698.org, if you have any questions.
