Dollars for Scholar's (DFS) application session opens in February. You can access your profile and update it now. One important change to the scholarship online application process: 2 letters of recommendation are going back to paper & need to be MAILED to the DFS' PO box.

PreK Holiday Program
The Floodwood Boy's and Girl's Basketball teams play in Remer tonight vs Northland. The girls JV game will be at 545pm and the boys JV will play at 715pm in the Elem gym. The boys varsity will play at 545pm and the girls varsity will play at 715pm in the HS gym. Go Bears!
A Very {HUGE} Special Delivery: This week, our class was surprised by a BIG gift--a gigantic magnetic board! This gift was generously donated by a student's family and set on stabilizing legs and wheels by Mr. Rohde.
Students immediately began work building words and structures with our magnetic manipulatives. What an asset this will be for our daily math and literacy play-based learning activities! A BIG thank you goes to our donor family and our Floodwood Industrial Tech Department.
A huge “Thank You” to everyone who donated money during the Winter Program for the 5th/6th Laurentian trip at the end of January! There’s still time to donate if you would like!

We hope to see you all at tonight's K-12 winter concert which starts at 6PM! Reminder... no parking on Highway 73. There are a few spots saved for "Elderly Parking" by the front main entrance and the lot adjacent to Highway 73.
The Floodwood School will start at 10:25 a.m. today due to inclement weather. Buses will be running 2 hours late. Staff should report at 10:00 a.m. All pre-Kindergarten classes have been cancelled.
Take Back Your Voice Assembly today with 5th-12th grade students!
There will be a two hour late start today. The preschool students will not have school. Expect the buses to pick your child up two hours later than the normal pick up time. Classes will begin at 10:25 am.
Tune in to channel 6 or kbjr6.com for the live broadcast of the Floodwood School drumming in the Christmas City of the North Parade! The parade will start at 6:30pm. Stay warm everyone walking in the parade!

Our K-2 "Trash to Treasure" STEM Club applied the scientific process of inquiry to ask questions, plan, create, and improve designs for magnificent treasures. Our inspiration was the picture book, "The Most Magnificent Thing" by Ashley Spires.
