Busy Bakery: A Recipe for Learning Kindergarten students spend time helping prepare our daily snacks. Friday's treat was a recipe for homemade granola with greek yogurt and orange slices. The boys and girls were actively involved start to finish and enjoyed the fruits of their labor. Our recipe for learning is always delicious and fun!

Busy in the K Kitchen! Kindergarten students love to help make our daily snacks. On Friday, we tried a new recipe for homemade granola. We worked one at a time reading the recipe, sequencing the step-by-step directions, measuring, and mixing. After baking the granola, we added it to our greek yogurt and orange slices. It was the perfect healthy snack to wrap up our busy week at school. Learning in kindergarten is hands-on, fun, and important to our daily lives!

Kindergarten Construction Zone: BIG Learning in Progress! Kindergarten students are busy designing, testing, and improving inclined planes. Simple materials were provided with few directions. Students quickly determined the best ways to build a ramp/inclined plane and how to make an object travel far and fast. They also learned that cylinders travel better than cubes because of their round sides. We are hard at work!
