HELP US KEEP OUR SCHOOL OPEN: Please remember to wear your mask over your mouth and nose, wash hands often for at least 20 seconds, social distance keeping at least 6 feet apart, stay home when sick and contact your provider for further guidance, clean and disinfect common surfaces regularly, cover your coughs and sneezes, and avoid social gatherings.
Thursday Throwback, how many knew that Floodwood School had a hockey team around 1949? Old year books give us a lot of history. The Floodwood School Library is working on accumulating a complete set. If you're interested in helping out, watch for a post with the missing years.
Due to our school district going to distance learning at the high school level and the rising number of COVID cases in the Floodwood area and in our school, administration has decided to cancel the rest of the volleyball regular season (and most likely the playoffs) effective today. We will revisit this decision if we end up allowing students back in the building for classes before the volleyball season is over.
We would like you to know that we did not take this decision lightly. We understand the desire of our student athletes to compete and play the sport(s) they love. It is only after consulting with multiple medical professionals, participants, parents and local community members did we come to this decision. The safety of our student-athletes, their families, and the Floodwood community remains our first priority. Thank you for your understanding.

Section 5-9 man football playoffs! The football team will be playing at Hill City in the Section semifinals this coming Friday (11/20/20) at 5pm. We are waiting on an announcement regarding streaming. An update will be posted here when that streaming link becomes available.
